So as mentioned my introduction post I've been dealing with a back/neck/spinal injury from a car accident I had got into back on Oct 20, 2012 which was 8 days before my birthday. So needless to say my birthday is sometimes hard to deal with as a lot of things that I like to do are limited and/or can't even do anymore at this time.

Anyways, I've been dealing with this injury for a .long time. I tried and have gone through multiple treatments and tried just about everything. I find that there are a few things that work but only work partly. When it comes down to I prefer to stay as holistic/natural as possible. But the problem with that is that most insurance companies don't like stuff like chiropractic and massage therapy. Or acupuncture which I have not tried yet as I will most likely have to pay for it out of my pocket. I have done chiropractic and massage therapy which I had to stop because of reasons I've been advised not to discuss but I will say that my insurance company is covering my medical bills right now though some thing I had to have covered by Washington Apple Health. I will say I'm not happy with my insurance company. But that will be all I say at this time. I'm back into my chiropractic treatment again but I'm only able to afford once a week at this time as I've been paying for it out of my pocket. I've gone through multiple injections like nerve blocks and trigger point injections, a few different prescriptions but I would like to get off it as now it feel like a band-aide and I feel it is making symptoms worse and/or causing new ones. At this time I only take Nortriptyline 25mg nightly which is suppose to help me sleep which had done so in the beginning. I take a lot of herbal supplements like triphala power, turmeric to help with going to the bathroom and inflammation. This does help too. But I've also been doing a lot of research in to other alternative holistic healing methods.

So long story short I will say that at the current standing I have multiple bulging disc from my neck down to my lumbar area. There also a disc degeneration in the lumbar area and a facet degeneration in cervical spine. I also have an EMG coming up to see if I have any nerve damage and such.

I will say that today I'm having a bit of a hard time and it's even hard to sit here and type this post. My pain scale is 7 and I feel really nauseated like I'm going to throw up.

Well thanks for reading though I don't care if you read this or not. This blog is more for myself then anything.

Well welcome to my wonderful world of random thoughts and stuff. My name is Russ, Russell or Ruste. I answer to all. I'm 35 years old and was born Oct.28, 1979 born in Minnesota. I live and have lived in Washington state most of my life. I've been through a lot and seen a lot throughout my life, the good, the bad, the ugly and the oh my god I can't believe that is happen/this person and/or whatever. I have a 4 year degree in Software engineering and planning on going back for my master in business administration. I currently run my own computer repair business and started taking over my grandfather's honey bee business with my mother and sister. Other then that I don't currently work for anyone else. If fact I'm not working that much at the moment as fate would have it I was in a pretty bad car accident over 2 years ago where I was hit by a van at 60 mph on a highway as I was pulled over to the shoulder with my hazards on due to my car not being able to go. I was on my phone looking up my mother's number to try and get a tow truck and a ride to work. That's when I noticed as I was looking in my rear-view mirror when I notice the van swerving on to the shoulder of the highway. Next thing you know I was hit and it even took the driver a bit to stop. I actually though at the time the driver of that van was going to keep driving. Anyways that is enough of that at the moment as I don't know if I can go into anymore detail as I'm still in the middle of the law suit with the company that had hit my car. I've been going though all kinds of treatment to try and get my neck, back and shoulder back to how they were before I was hit. Come to find out after long periods of treatment I started having issues with my leg tingling and/or going numb. My sitting ability has got worse and other such stuff I do feel like bitching about at the moment. I will say at the current moment I have multiple bulging discs from my neck down to my lumbar area and two of those in my thoracic spine (I think between T7-8 T8-9 or something close to that) are compressing my my cord slightly. But that is enough of that too.LOL

I enjoy a lot of things in life. I like all types of music from most electronic genres to classic rock, metal, and even some hip hop music. I love computers and technology, programming/web design (though that is limited due to my injury). I like spending time with my friends, family and my lovely girlfriend. I love computer/console gaming. I like creating music with MIDI and software DAW applications, mostly various electronic music genres. But you will get to know that or not when I start posting more which is why I'm not going to go into too much detail at the moment. Besides it's like 2:47am right now where I'm at and I should probably try and sleep. Side note I hev sleeping problems too as I have muscle spasms/twitching all through the night and everything tried only seem to work for a little bit that I start having issues except for one thing that I know works for more then one of my symptoms but I was advised by my lawyer to stop which really sucks as my baseline sleep seemed like it was starting to improve.

That's it for the moment.
